SPAM Museum

1937 Spam Boulevard, Austin, MN, 507-437-5100. Austin is the home of Hormel Foods and SPAM. You can learn all about the history of SPAM and sources say that this is the 2nd largest Minnesota attraction, second to the Mall of America. Admission to the museum is free. Hours are 10:00-5:00 daily and 12:00-4:00 Sunday (closed Mondays from Labor Day to Memorial weekend. Website.

Bike Trail

Austin now has a pedestrian/bike trail located within the city. It takes you from downtown, along the Cedar River, through the City of Austin to the Mill Pond, out to Todd Park and then to the J.C. Hormel Nature Center. Fresh blacktop makes this perfect for cycling, running, walking and rollerblading.
