How does the Wireless Internet work?
Wireless Internet is available at most sites at no charge. Our network is called "Beavertrails" it should automatically connect if available on your site. If not directions are available in the office.

Are alcoholic beverages permitted? Do you sell beer in your store?
Legal intoxicants are allowed throughout the grounds. You must bring it with you. We do not sell any beer or cigarettes. It is up to the campsite leasee to control his campers behavior. We will not tolerate loud, lewd or otherwise foul behavior. The legal drinking age in Minnesota is 21. We are watchful of this. We do NOT allow keggers for any reason. You may think we wouldn't send you driving down the road drunk. We won't, but you won't stay on the grounds either. The County Sheriff is usually pretty good about finding a place for those people to stay, although it can be pretty expensive.

Do you have public phones?
We sure do. Local calls are free. We also offer fax and copying services (for a fee).

Can we invite guests?
Certainly they are welcome here, however they must pay the visitors' fee. Adults pay $5.00 and children ages 2-17 pay $2.50. Visitors' hours end at 11:00 p.m., and they must vacate the premises before that time.

What is the check-in time?
The check-in time is 12:00 noon. On Saturday, you will be charged an extra $2.00 for early check-in if staying only one night, the site may not be open, so please check before coming early. Our staffing is geared to noon arrival time. The charge is to help discourage early arrivals. On weekends or the last day of a holiday weekend, you may stay until 6:00 p.m. if your site has not been re-rented. Check in the office. If you can only come for Saturday, while we do not reserve ahead, call Saturday after 8:00 a.m. as we may have an opening.

What if there is an emergency at home?
If you get an EMERGENCY message, it will be delivered. If you merely get a message, you need to check on our bulletin board as non-emergency messages are posted there.

What churches are close by?
There is a list of churches posted on the Lodge bulletin board. We would suggest that you check with them to be sure the time posted is their most current one. From Memorial day weekend thru Labor day; we hold Sunday Morning Worship Services outside on the front lawn. Please join us for some uplifting spiritual music with encouraging & inspirational messages. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket to spread on the grass. Dress is campground casual.

Where can I pick up email?
We have wireless Internet access and it's FREE. It is available to most sites in the park. If you have problems inquire in the office. We have a modem in a booth in the front of the Lodge that you are welcome to use if you have an 800 number. Usual rates apply if you do not have that number. As as additional note - local calls to both Austin and Dexter are free.

Can I go into the Petting Pen?

Sure can, during the posted hours on weekends when we have someone around to protect the animals. We sell cones of corn available out there then. If you want corn at other times, you can purchase it in the office.

Do you allow campfires?
Yes we do. We sell firewood in the lodge. Please extinguish fires at night.

Do you charge for Paddle Boats?
Yes we do, but far less than most other campgrounds. The 2-person boat is $4.00/boat, the 4-person boat is $5.00/boat and both are for 1/2 hour. You may reserve ahead, but for this you will have to pay in advance. We will also need a deposit of $1.00 for each life jacket needed. Life jackets are required by law, and that money will be refunded when you return the jackets dry and on-time. If you are late, the money will be deducted from your life jacket deposit. Don't bump boats together or get off on the islands.

Can we fish? What is it going to cost? Where can I get bait?

You can fish and it doesn't cost anything. You may fish from the dock or on shore. Don't go on the neighbors property (he isn't very understanding about trespassers). The ponds are private so you won't need a license UNLESS you transport them on the road. If you do that, you must have a license. We suggest that you catch and release, but it isn't required. Our fish are used to being caught and aren't very smart. They like to eat canned corn, marshmallows and hot dogs. If you don't have them, all are available in the lodge store.

The fun cycles are cute. Can I rent one?

We think they are cute too. They are brand new and lots of fun. Adults must sign an accident waiver for all children in our presence. We do charge for damages if they occur. They are available for 1/2 hour at a cost of $4.00. Longer rentals are available.

Do you have gift certificates?
Yes, gift certificates can be purchased in any denomination you wish. You may purchase by phone, email or in person.

Can we bring our golf cart?
Yes, drivers must be licensed or in the presence of a licensed driver though. Carts can only be driven in daylight hours unless they have headlights. We must have proof of insurance for our files. We DO NOT allow 4-wheelers, gas, electric or motorized bikes, or scooters. Golf carts are NOT allowed on roads at all after midnight.

What if we have a storm?
Can't guarantee that we won't and no refund if we do. However, we do have a storm shelter that is located north of the petting pens. The Sheriff's Department is really good about notifying us of severe weather. Should this happen, we will notify people to be watchful and take appropriate action.

Do you have seasonal sites?
We have several seasonal sites available, as we opened up quite a few near the pond and other locations also. Ask Laura or Don for a list of available sites. You can get a $50.00 referral fee if you are a seasonal camper and bring us another new seasonal camper.

Where do you get your photos?

We take a lot of photos. If you stay in our campground, your picture could appear on our website or other publications.

Can I bring my dog?
Sure, your pets are welcome but you must clean up after them. Keep your pets with you or inside when you leave -- dogs tend to bark trying to protect their space and this is very bothersome to our other guests. No pets in playgrounds, buildings, or pool area.

Where shall I put my trash?
We have dumpsters in four scattered locations around the park. Please place trash in these. We recycle soda cans, so place them in containers next to dumpsters. Please DO NOT discard old bikes, lawn chairs, etc.

Any new rules?
Skate boarding has become a problem therefor it must now be limited. No boarding near the stage, front of the Office area or parking lot. Also it's not really new, but will be enforced vigorously this year. Anyone on a sewer site will be required to use sponge rings around their connection to the sewer. This is necessary because sewer hoses tend to fall straight down and block the pipe below. When other people in the same row empty their sewage tanks, because the line is now blocked, sewage is forced upward and onto the ground. This is NASTY. We sell sponge rings at cost in the lodge.

What is your extra tent policy?
Basic charge is for one (1) camping unit. There is no charge for one couple's minor children in an extra tent. An additional site hook-up fee will be charged for extra adults and/or their minor children.

What is your refund policy?
We will give you a refund minus a $5.00 handling fee with a 14-day notice or a full credit on a future stay. One-half of your deposit will be refunded with a 7-day notice. No refunds or credits will be given for less notice, no-shows or same-day cancellations. Sites will be held until 11:00 p.m. only without notice. Party is responsible for all reserved nights. We reserve the right to substitute sites if necessary.

What discount cards do you offer?
We honor Good Sam, KOA, Coachman, Family Campers & RV'ers, AAA, FMCA, and AARP cards. ONLY ONE DISCOUNT per visit though, and cannot be used before Memorial or after Labor day when sites are already discounted 20%.

ATM?
Yes we have one. Amounts available up to $100.00 per day.
